(EN)CASULO is a project dedicated to the production and touring of a contemporary dance performance, as well as artistic mediation and lectures. The project explores creation as an extension or displacement of research conducted by its founders, centered on themes related to mental and psychological health, such as anxiety, distress, depression, and loneliness.
The design work behind the project includes the development of a Key Visual, essential for the adaptation of materials and circulation; visual capture for use in the KV and related assets; and the creation of marketing materials for social media promotion.
The Key Visual is the piece that establishes the identity for all subsequent creatives, which must be developed within the parameters defined by the KV. For the creation of the (EN)CASULO Key Visual, we aimed to capture the dynamism, subjectivity, and intensity of contemporary dance, the predominant artistic language in the project. We incorporated key elements such as rehearsal scenes from the performance, broken down into simple, rounded shapes that will appear in all future compositions.
The project's color scheme was defined as monochromatic, using shades of gray in its main composition. The typefaces selected for the materials carry significant weight to convey the mood of the project and its themes, while the dynamic nature of the project is enhanced by various images captured and used in a wide range of compositions.
